Top Gun: Maverick

 Rated: PG-13

Runtime: 2 hours 11 minutes

Director: Joseph Kosinski

Starring: Tom Cruise, Jennifer Connelly, Miles Teller

After serving more than thirty years as one of the top aviators in the Navy, Pete "Maverick" Mitchell teaches new recruits, pushing the envelope as a test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. This movie is a good movie. It is one of the best sequels that I have ever seen in recent years, and I think that it's a perfect start to the 2022 summer movie season. If you've like the original 1986 Top Gun, then you'll like this one. Parents, unless your kids are into movies like this, then you might wanna click here in order to decide to whether or not to take them. Other than that, see it if you haven't already.

The Bad Guys

 Rated: PG

Runtime: 1 hour 40 minutes

Director: Piere Perifel

Featuring the voices of: Sam Rockwell, Mark Maron, Awkwafina

This animated family-friendly feature is about a group of notorious criminals, who after a lifetime of committing legendary heists, pull of their most challenging con yet in order to avoid a prison sentence: becoming model citizens. Under the tutelage of their mentor, professor marmalade, the gang decides to deceive the world that they're turning good.

Guys, First of all, Do not be deceived by the title! This isn't a R-rated prison flick! As a side note, I remember a few months ago, when I went to see Sing 2, they showed the trailer for this movie before it, and I asked the lady sitting right next to me "Don't you think that's a misleading title?" and She was like "Should be called 'The Confused Guys'." It's actually a animated family-friendly film. Parents, I think there are some good messages here so, take the kids to see it!

Fantastic Beasts The Secrets of Dumbledore

 Rated: PG-13

Runtime: 2 hours 22 minutes

Director: David Yates

Starring: Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Mads Mikkelson, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Katherine Waterson, Alison Sudol

In this latest installment of the Harry Potter prequel series Fantastic Beasts, Albus Dumbledore (Law) finds himself unable to stop the powerful dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mikkelson) from moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Newt Scamander (Redmayne) leads a team of wizards, witches, and a muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald's growing legion of followers.

This movie is better than Crimes of Grindelwald! I think Mads Mikkelson is a perfect upgrade from Johnny Depp as Grindelwald, and if your a hard-core Potter-head, I think your gonna enjoy this one. Parents, Click here before taking your kids. Because, I think there is one thing, One thing! That you might find objectionable.

Sonic now has to team up with his own sidekick, tails, to find it before it's too late.

I fairly enjoyed this movie. Although it's not quite as good as the first Sonic movie, but it had it's moments. There are some references to other movies in this film, and I liked that. I came out of the theater asking this one lady if she thinks that there'll be a Sonic 3, she was like "I hope so." Parents, take the kids to this film! There's family-fun for everyone!

In this iteration of The Caped Crusader, a sadistic serial killer known as The Riddler, begins killing key figures in Gotham, Bruce Wayne/Batman (Pattinson) must investigate the city's hidden corruption and question his family's involvement. Parents, Even though this is a Batman movie, but it's definitely not for little kids, because This is definitely a much darker turn on The Dark Knight. Not to mention the fact that the foul language is a bit on the rough side. If you wanna know a little more about the film, click here to go to the Parents Guide on imdb.com. Otherwise, keep your five-year-olds away from this film. Thjs past month has not been good for kids at the box office. Uncharted

 Rated: PG-13

 Runtime: 1 hour 56 minutes

 Release Date: February 18, 2022

 Director: Ruben Fleischer

Starring: Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Antonio banderas, Sophia Ali

This big screen adaptation of the video game series of the same name, is about young Nathan Drake (holland) who is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Wahlberg), to recover a fortune amassed by Ferdinand Magellan, and lost 500 years ago by the house of Moncada.

This movie is a typical action movie. I'm not a gamer, and I've never played the Uncharted games, but judging by the end of this film, I think they're trying to setup for a sequel. Parents, The amount of foul language in this film is unbelievably on the rough side (Tom Holland says the "S" word a lot), and if you wanna know more, Click here. Otherwise, I'd keep the kids away from this film.

Death on the Nile

 Rated: PG-13

Runtime: 2 hours 7 minutes

Director and Starring: Kenneth Branagh

Also Starring: Gal Gadot, Russell Brand, Armie Hammer

In this sequel to Murder on the Orient Express, Hercule Poirot is on vacation on the Nile River. While there, he must search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple's honeymoon is tragically cut short. Set on a ship that's located on a landscape of sweeping Egyptian desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids. This film features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers, and many twists and turns that'll leave audiences guessing.

This movie is a very slow-moving movie. Unlike it's 2017 predecessor, Murder on the Orient Express, It takes up until the first hour of the film for the murder to happen. Parents, I don't think your kids would be interested in this film. But, if you wanna take them anyway, Click here before taking them.

Moonfall

This latest Disaster flick from the Director of movies like 2012, Independence Day, The Day after Tomorrow, and Stargate is about a mysterious force that knocks the moon out of orbit around the earth, and causes it to come to come hurdling on a collision course towards earth.

I thought the visual effects in this film were fantastic! Even though everyone else says they're crud, but I think the exact opposite. But again, that's just my opinion. Parents, this is probably a movie that you'd probably like to know if there's anything questionable ahead of time. So, Click here if you'd like to know.

The King's Daughter

Starring: Pierce Brosnan, Kaya Scodelario, William Hurt

In this film, King Louis XIV (Brosnan) is on a quest for immortality leads him to capture and steal a mermaid's life force, which is further complicated by his own daughter's discovery of the creature. Seriously, how many potentially good movies do I have to see, that gets absolutely trashed by the internet?? C'mon people! Stop lying in your reviews!  Anyway, This is a movie that I didn't know existed, until this past week when I looked up the showtimes for my local theater for this weekend. There was another movie that I had interest in seeing coming out this weekend called Redeeming Love, but it's not playing at my local theater, so I saw this one instead. And I'm glad that I did.

This is a good movie. It's family-friendly, it's got good cinematography, and If your looking for something to see at the box office this week, I recommend this one. Parents, take the family to this film. I think the kids will enjoy it!
