The Lion King

Rated: PG
Release Date: July 19, 2019
Runtime: 1 hour 58 minutes
Director, Jon Faverau
Featuring: Donald Glover, BeyoncĂ©, James Earl Jones, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard

This adaptation of the 1994 Disney classic, is about (c'mon, we all know it's about) a young lion cub named Simba, who learns to take his place in the circle of life, and becomes king of Pride Rock. This, is a visually wonderful take on this classic tale.  the graphics are fantastic, and only four songs from the original movie, are used in this version. Parents, take your kids to this film. In fact, take the whole family! Even if they haven't seen the original.

Spider-Man: Far From Home

Rated: PG-13
Release Date: July 2, 2019
Runtime: 2 hours 9 minutes
Director: Jon Watts
Starring: Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jake Gyllenhaal, Samuel L. Jackson

This latest Spidey adventure is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, and Peter Parker (Holland) goes on a school trip to Europe with his friends. But little does he know, that he just simply cannot take a break from being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Because in Europe, Danger is still lurking.

This film is unpredictable, because the villain is one of those hypocritical characters that start off on the good side, but their bad side is revealed later. I thought it was a ok movie, and if your really into comic book movies, I think you'll enjoy this one. Parents, This is obviously a PG-13 rated superhero flick. So, like any other movie like this, you can expect the usual round of superhero violence. If you want to go into further detail about that department, Click here to go to the IMDB Parental Guide before taking your little ones to this film.

While there, Their sixth child is born with a serious illness. With faith, and love from thousands of Tongans, despite religious barriers, the baby's life is saved, as well as the life of a Tongan minister's son.

This is, a really good movie. If you want to see it, check the internet to see if it's playing at a theater in your area. Because, this film is a very limited release. it's not a wide release, unlike all the movies I've reviewed here on this blogspot. Or, you can wait a few months, and try to get it on Blu-ray, DVD, Streaming Services. Parents, This film is (believe it or not) rated PG-13, all because of one scene. That's all I'm going to say, I don't want to give any major spoilers. Like I said, If you want to see it in a theater, search the internet and see if you can find one in your area.

Toy Story 4

Rated: G
Runtime: 1 hour 40 minutes
Release Date: June 21, 2019
Director: Josh Cooley
Featuring: Tom Hanks, Tim Allen

In this latest Toy Story Adventure, A new toy named "Forky" is added Woody and Buzz's gang. But while on a road trip, Forky Goes missing. So now, it's up to Woody and Buzz to rescue him. Now will they be able to rescue their new friend, and bring him home, or will they end up going to infinity, and beyond?

I really like this latest Toy Story outing. Even though, I haven't seen the third movie, but I have seen only clips of it, and I haven't seen the first two in a long time. A lot of you will remember back in 1995, the first Toy Story was the first animated movie done by computer. At the time, Nobody had ever seen a movie like that before. Since then, Computer animation has gotten really good. Especially, with rendering software. Nowadays, you can animate something, and make it look photo-realistic. Parents, this is obviously a G rate picture, so you know what I'm going to say, There's family-fun for everyone! I think the entire family will enjoy it!

Men in black: International

Rated: PG-13
Runtime: 1 hour 54 minutes
Release Date: June 14, 2019
Director: F. Gary Gray
Starring: Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson

In this 4th installment of the MIB franchise, Agent M (Tessa Thompson) is recruited help discover the most biggest danger ever: A mole in the Men In Black organization. Unlike the first three films, this one doesn't star Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones. Instead, it stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson as the two leads. This film, is one of those films that has one of those unexpected villains. Trust me, you'd be surprised on who it is.

Parents, unless your kids are into these kind of films, you might wanna think twice before taking them to this one.

Dark Phoenix

Rated: PG-13
Runtime: 1 hour 53 minutes

In this latest X-Men adventure, Jean Grey (Turner), develops incredible and dangerous powers that ultimately turn her into Dark Phoenix. Now, it's up to the X-Men to decide whether the live of a team member is worth living, or to save the world.

Oh no, I just saw another movie that's being trashed by the internet. 23% on Rotten Tomatoes, Seriously? Isn't there a single movie out there, that the internet actually loves? This movie is better than that! It deserves a better Rotten Tomatoes score than 23%. I thought it wasn't a bad film. Granted that the acting story telling, direction, editing, etc. may be bland but, I still liked it. Parents, I don't know if this movie is ok for your teens, but I don't think you should take your little ones to it. there's some pretty intense action scenes in it, and some other moments that I don't think young kids will understand. See this movie yourself before taking your kids, and you be the judge.
