Starring: Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace, Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd

Set 30 years after Ghostbusters 2, a single mom and her two kids move to a small town, and they discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters, and the legacy their grandfather left behind. This is a good movie, It does have a rather emotional ending, although I didn't cry. But it does pay tribute to the late Harold Ramis (Rest In Peace) (that's the only spoiler your getting from me). Parents, Your teens or pre-teens might like this, but your little ones may not understand about what's going on on the screen. Although there's not much cursing, and I found no sexual content, but just in case, you might wanna click here and check the parents guide on IMDB, before taking your kids.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces a group of aliens known as the Eternals, who have been living secretly on Earth for thousands of years, to come out of hiding to fight mankind's most ancient enemy, the deviants. I thought it was a good movie. Not as good as Endgame, but not a bad one either. it does however, have good looking visuals. Parents, I'd click here if I were you before deciding to whether or not take your kids to this film. I mean there is at least one scene, that I think you may or may not be offended by. So, there's the warning. Overall, I think the average marvel fan, or or average moviegoer in general may be ok with this film.

I think it's my most favorite movie of the year. It's got really good looking visuals, it's better than the 1984 film, and I think it should definitely be seen in a theater, and NOT on HBO Max! Starring: Mackenzie Davis, Finn Wolfhard

A young governess is hired to look after an orphaned girl, but the return of the girls problematic brother uncovers secrets from the past. I don't think I really care for this movie. I do think, it's better than what everyone says. But the problem is that, you know when you see a movie for the first time, you sit there and your like "This is the ending. Nope, this is. Nope! This is! Finally, the movie's over!" Well, I don't think the studio could make up their minds on how to end this movie. Because, I think there are two endings! Parents, this movie is really intense. Towards the end of the film, I think the main character goes completely paranoia!. So, unless your teens are horror fans, keep your kids away from this film!

 Rated: PG-13

Runtime: 2 hours 43 minutes

Release Date: October 8, 2021

In this latest James Bond adventure, Bond (James Bond) (Craig) is retired from the MI6, and his peace is short lived when a old friend from the CIA turns up, leading him up to a mysterious villain (Malek) with dangerous technology. This is supposedly the last Bond film with Daniel Craig as the famous 007 agent, and I think this is a good sendoff for him. Even though it's not as good as Skyfall, but the ending is pretty emotional. Parents, this is a typical PG-13 rated action film. So, expect your typical PG-13 violence. So, I don't think your kids might be interested in this movie. Unless, your teens are really into action films like this, and Marvel. I'm writing this review in May of 2021, and I'm doing so in anticipation of A Quiet Place Part II (click here for my review for that movie).           In this Sequel to the 2018 hit Venom,  Eddie Brock (Hardy) interviews serial killer Cletus Kasady (Harrelson) who, after a failed execution, becomes the host of the symbiote Carnage. It's a good movie, but incredibly violent. When A Stranger Calls

 Rated: PG-13

Runtime: 1 hour 27 minutes

This Thriller is based on a urban legend known as "The Babysitter and the man upstairs," where a babysitter receives suspicious phone calls. She locks up the house and arms the security system, only to discover that the calls are not where she thinks they're coming from.

This is a pretty intense movie. It's one of those movies that start off pretty slow, but it picks up as it progresses. I remember back when it first came out, one of my classmates saw it, and he said it was scary. I don't think it's as intense as he probably thought it was, but the I think the most intense part of it was the last 15-20 minutes. Parents, this film might be nightmare-inducing to young kids.      This adaptation of the Broadway Musical Dear Evan Hansen,  is about a high school senior with Social Anxiety disorder named Evan Hansen (Platt), who goes through a journey of self-discovery and acceptance following the suicide of his fellow classmate Connor Murphy. This Movie, is a good movie. I think it's better than the movie In the Heights, which is also a Broadway-to-film adaptation, and I think I'll get the blu-ray when it comes out. it deals with Social Anxiety, suicide, and death I think, in a way that I think is the the best way that they're dealt with in the movies that I've seen in probably ever! Cruella

Director: Craig Gellespie

Starring: Emma Stone, Emma Thompson, Joel Fry

This movie chronicles the young life of infamous Disney Villain, Cruella DeVil and how she came to be. This is a good movie, one I would probably see again in the future. Although, I think Disney unintentionally made an adult film. You know, a movie that's meant only for adults. There's a lot of adult stuff in the film, mainly a plot twist which I won't go into any detail about. So parents, even though this is a Disney film, I'd see the movie first, before letting your kids see it.

A Quiet Place Part II

 Rated: PG-13

Runtime: 1 hour 37 minutes

Release Date: May 28, 2021

Director: John Krasinski

Starring: Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmons, Cillian Murphy, Noah Jupe

Following the events at home, the Abbott family now face the terrors of the outside world. While there, they realize that the creatures are not the only threats out there. I think this movie is just as good as the first film, some say that it may be even better. It was supposed to come out in March of 2020, but was held
off at the very last minute due to COVID-19. however, unlike many studios that gave some of their films to streaming services, Paramount Pictures decided to hold onto this film, until they decided that it was the right time to release it. Also, unlike Disney and Warner Brothers, Paramount decided not to do a "hybrid" release. In other words, they decided not to do a theater and streaming service release, but instead they stuck to a theaters only release. Parents, I'd see this film alone first, before deciding to whether or not let your kids see it. The creatures in this film (and the first one) maybe a little eerie-looking for them. Overall, I thought it was a good movie, and I bet there might be a Part 3 in the works. So, if your a horror fan, and if you've been looking forward to this film for a long time, go see it!

Voyagers

 Rated: PG-13

Runtime: 1 hour 48 minutes

Director: Neil Burger

Starring: Ty Sheridan, Lily-Rose Depp, Colin Farrell

Set in the near future, the film chronicles the odyssey of 30 young men and women who are sent into deep space on a multi-generational mission in search of a new home. However, something goes wrong, not knowing if the real threat is outside the ship, or who they're becoming inside it. This Movie is not as bad as I thought it would be. Parents, there is some violent (and sexual) images in the film, so you should probably keep your kids away from this film. Believe it or not, I heard that it almost got slapped in the face with a R rating. So, the filmmakers had to take some stuff out in order to keep that PG-13 rating. For more information, Click

The Girl who believes in Miracles

 Rated: PG

Runtime: 1 hour 40 minutes

Release Date: April 2, 2021

Director: Richard Correll

Starring: Mira Sorvino, Kevin Sorbo, Peter Coyote, Austyn Johnson

This movie is about a young girl named Sara, who listens to a preacher that tells that faith can move mountains. Later she starts praying, and after she asks God to bring a dead bird back to life, she becomes famous. This is a good movie that has a good message to it, and that message is that God hears all prayers, and will answer them in his own way, and at his home time. Parents, this is obviously a PG rated faith-based family movie. So, take the whole family to see it!

Godzilla Vs. Kong

 Rated: PG-13

Runtime: 1 hour 53 minutes

Release Date: March 31, 2021

Directior: Adam Wingard

Starring: Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall

The epic next chapter in the cinematic monsterverse pits two of the greatest icons in motion picture history against one another, the fearsome Godzilla and the mighty Kong, with humanity caught in the balance. I thought it was ok Popcorn movie, I don't think it's gonna win any awards, but I bet it's probably gonna draw audiences just because of the special effects. Parents, You be the judge on this one. I'm sure your teens are gonna be okay with it, but I'm not sure about your little ones. But I will say that, this is a movie that has to be seen in theaters, and NOT on streaming services (wink wink, HBO Max).

Chaos Walking

 Rated: PG-13

Runtime: 1 hour 49 minutes

Release Date: March 5, 2021

Director: Doug Liman

Starring: Tom Holland, Daisy Ridley

In a world where there are no women, and all living creatures can hear each other's thoughts, a young woman crash lands on the planet, thus putting her life in danger. As a young man vows to protect her, he will have to discover his own inner power, and unlock the planet's dark secrets.

This movie, is a ok movie. It's not bad, just ok. This movie, has been in "production limbo" for at least 3-4 years. It was initially filmed in 2017, and went through some reshoots in 2019. Don't quote me on that, And, I think it was supposed to be released in 2018. When you watch this film, you can tell by the end of the film, that Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley, have aged a little bit. Yeah, that's how long the film was in production limbo. Parents, I'd see this film first, before showing it to your kids.

Raya and the last Dragon

 Rated: PG

Release Date: March 5, 2021

Directors: Don Hall, Carlos Lopez Estrada

Stars: Kelly Marie Tran, Awkwafina

This latest Disney animated picture is about a young woman named Raya, who lives in the fictional world of Kumandra, where long ago humans and dragons lived together in harmony. But when monsters called the drunn threatened the land, the dragons had to sacrifice themselves to save humanity. now, 500 years later, the drunn returned, and it's now up to Raya to hunt down the last dragon. and stop the drunn for good.

This movie, is a good movie. As I was sitting in the theater watching this film, I couldn't help but compare to what's happening on the screen, to what's currently happening in real life right now, you know with the COVID-19 pandemic and all that. There is a really good message in this picture, and that message is trust. Parents, there may be some parts of this film that your kids may ask you about while they watch it. so, I highly suggest that you watch it with them just in case.

P.S.

People, if you live in a area where theaters are showing this film that are open, do me a favor, and see it that way! Not on Disney+. Theaters, are the best way to see it, trust me.

Tom and Jerry

 Rated: PG

Runtime: 1 hour 41 minutes

Release Date: February 26, 2021

Director: Tim Story

This adaptation of the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon, is about a young woman who poses as a hotel employee, who appoints a cat to get rid of a mouse that's infesting the hotel, while she helps the hotel prepare for a wedding.  I thought this movie was enjoyable, I don't know why the internet is trashing it! Seriously, it needs to stop trashing movies! It's a good family-friendly film. One that I know kids will enjoy! Parents, please do not show your kids this movie on HBO Max, take them to the theater if possible. That's how I saw this film.

P.S.

One of the stars of this film, is none other than my Hollywood crush Chloe Grace Moretz, who apparently hasn't been in the movies very much lately. I have yet to see her do a big $500 million dollar making at the box office blockbuster.

News of the World

 Rated: PG-13

Runtime: 1 hour 58 minutes

Release Date: December 25, 2020

Director: Paul Greengrass

Starring: Tom Hanks, Helena Zengel

In a post Civil War era, a civil war veteran (hanks), who now travels from town to town, sharing the news of presidents, queens, etc. encounters a young girl named Johanna (Zengel), who was taken by the Kiowa people 6 years earlier, and and agrees to take her home to her biological aunt and uncle. This movie, is a good movie. I saw this movie this past week, and originally planned on seeing "Wonder Woman 1984", but changed my mind last minute, and I'm glad that I did. This movie, is probably the best new movie that I saw this year. Parents, the film is rated PG-13, but there is some gunshot violence, and a little foul language, so I advise you to not take your young kids to this film. It's a western film, so I don't know if your young kids would be interested in it anyway. But, if you are into western films, I think this one would be good for you.
