This prequel stars Hailee Steinfeld as a 18 year old, who's trying to find her place in the world after a recent tragic event in her life. That is, until she finds VW bug in a junkyard, that turns out to be the bumblebee. This is a really good movie! Story wise, I noticed that It's quite similar to E.T. It's the best of the transformers franchise, Hailee Steinfeld was fantastic as the main character. Seriously, I think she was being a real actress in movie! Parents, if your kids like the transformers, I think they'll like this film.

Mortal Engines

Rated: PG-13
Runtime: 2 hours, 8 minutes
Release Date: December 14, 2018
Director: Christian Rivers
Starring: Hera Hilmar, Robert Sheehan, Hugo Weaving

In This Peter Jackson Produced, book-to-film adaptation of the same name by Phillip Reeve, A mysterious young woman named Hester Shaw (Hilmar) stops a man who leads a predatory city on wheels, from carrying out his latest evil plan. Meanwhile, she teams up with Tom Natsworthy (Sheehan), and outcast from london, and Anna Fang, an outlaw, and they help her stop the man. It's not a bad movie, as in matter of fact, I liked it.

Don't always rely on the reviews, everyone has their own opinions on things such as movies, for example. I've look at a lot of reviews for this film on Youtube, and not all of them were good. In fact, most of the reviewers were just trashing the movie! Parents, this might be a little violent for your little ones, and your teens, if they really like the book this movie is based on, they might like it. I know I sure did! In fact, I think I'm gonna buy the book!

Bohemian Rhapsody

 Rated: PG-13
Release Date: November 2, 2018
Runtime: 2 hours 14 minutes
Director: Bryan Singer
Starring: Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton

This movie, is a great movie. It is without a doubt, the best movie of the year in my opinion. It chronicles the life of the late singer Freddie Mercury leading up to Queen's legendary appearance at the 1985 Live Aid concert. This is how, a biography should be told on the big screen properly. You gotta have passion, you gotta have knowledge of the story of the person your making your movie about. Now, I get that you can't include EVERY single thing that the person did, just include the basics.

Raimi Malek stars as the late singer, and I think he does a fantastic job! I think he should (or will) win an oscar for his performance! Also, the best part, is the ending. It made so emotional, I started to tear up a little bit. Parents, I don't think your little ones will be interested but, your older ones, maybe. But if they are, I think they're gonna love it! I know I did

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms

Rated: PG
Release Date: November 2 , 2018
Runtime: 1 hour 39 minutes
Directors: Lasse Hallstrom, Joe Johnston
Starring: Mackenzie Foy, Keira Knightley, Morgan Freeman

(sigh)...Another fantastic movie that's being trashed by critics on Youtube. I don't get why they all hate this movie that's based on The Nutcracker ballet that's about a young girl named Clara, who discovers a magical land of gingerbread soldiers and an army of mice. Also, she discovers that her late mother was once the queen of the land. Now, she must protect it from danger, and retrieve a key she received from her godfather that disappeared into that world. Again, I don't understand why Youtube critics hate it. The Visuals are stunning, I  think there's a Chronicles of Narnia feel to it (specifically The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe), and Parents, I think your kids are gonna love it! and on top of that, I think It's family fun for everyone! Again I don't understand why! I bet it's because they have no soft-spots for family-friendly movies! and it definitely deserves a better critics rating than that 34% on Rotten Tomatoes.

This film is about a reporter named Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), who encounters A symbiote named Venom. Now Venom, is the villain/anti-hero in the Spider-Man franchise. The film is a little violent and parents, because of this, please do whatever you can, make your little ones avoid this picture, at all costs!  The studio was originally shooting for an R rating, but had edit the film down to a PG-13. Overall, it's not a bad movie

The House With A Clock In It's Walls

Rated: PG
Release Date: September 21, 2018
Runtime: 1 hour 44 mintues
Director: Eli Roth
Starring: Jack Black, Cate Blanchett

This Family-Friendly halloween-themed movie is about a young orphan named Louis, who helps his uncle (Black), and his neighbor (Blanchett), locate a clock that's hiding inside his home. And, stop a man from using it to carry out his evil plan. It's a good movie, there were some parts that made some of the other people in the theater laugh, and I suggest that you go check it out! However, in one of the Youtube reviews that I saw for this movie, the people reviewing it pointing out that it can introduce children, to the horror genre. Not to mention the fact that, it was directed by a filmmaker, that's done a lot of R-rated horror. Although, this movie is rated PG, but there are some scenes that do fall into that category.

I don't understand why most people hate this PG-13 horror flick that about four girls who summon the fictional character, The Slender Man. And then, one of them mysteriously vanishes. Again, I don't understand why! It's very intense, especially towards the ending. Parents, if you have children under the age of 13, DO NOT take them to this movie! It might be too scary for them! If you have teenagers, they might be bored by it. Again, I don't understand why most people are absolutely trashing this suspenseful flick!

Besides that, there are actually multiple plots in this film, none which I'll spoil, but if you want to know them, then you might wanna sacrifice the time and money this weekend, and go see it. R.I.P. Jon Schnepp 1967-2018

Okay, this is a post that I never thought that I would right. I've got some sad news within the world of movies, youtube, entertainment, etc. Jon Schnepp, a creator, and a host on the Collidervideos Youtube channel, Passed away peacefully yesterday. I heard that he had been in the hospital recently, and was in critical condition. According to Collider.com, he had so many health issues that apparently, the end was near. I donated $2 to his family, to help cover medical expenses. Now, obviously he stepped through the veil, I guess they'll use those $2 to help cover funeral arrangements.

To the family, if your reading this, I'm sorry for your loss, I know what your going through. 6 years ago, this coming week, my mom passed away peacefully of cancer. I know that Jon (and my mom) is now in heaven with God. The important thing is that he is now free of his pain and suffering. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

So, this is a movie that I wasn't planning on seeing this film but, I had a $6 reward on a movie ticketing website which I don't want to reveal here on my blog, so I used it to buy a ticket to this movie. It has an all-star cast about four older women that have been holding these book clubs for the past 40 years, they've been have problems with various things and stuff. That is, until they read...gulp...Fifty Shades of Grey (I don't know why the filmmakers chose that book). Then, everything's turned upside down! Everyone in the theater laughed at every single joke thing that happened on the screen. I admit, I chuckled at some of them too. How good is it? I'd say it's on the border between good and bad. Not to mention the fact that one of his missionary roommates, was disowned by his family when he joined the LDS church, and his companion, finds himself doubting his own beliefs. throughout the time he has with Elder Dalton, Elder Allen learns how to become a successfully good missionary. Charly (2002)

Charly (2002)

Runtime: 1 hour 43 minutes
Rating: PG
Starring: Heather Beers, Jeremy Elliott
Directed By: Adam Thomas Anderegg

Hello Everyone, and today I decided to review the movie Charly, which I recently bought on DVD. It's about a young man named Sam (Jeremy Elliott) who's a ultra-idealist, and thinks he knows what he wants in life. That is, until he meets a feisty new yorker named Charly (Heather Beers), who completely changes everything for him, and they draw closer together forever than they expected. This is now one of my favorite (if not my #1 favorite) films of all time. It's a wonderful funny, sad, tear-jerking, emotional ride!
