That is, until she finds VW bug in a junkyard, that turns out to be the bumblebee. This is a really good movie! Story wise, I noticed that It's quite similar to E.T. It's the best of the transformers franchise, Hailee Steinfeld was fantastic as the main character. Seriously, I think she was being a real actress in movie! Parents, if your kids like the transformers, I think they'll like this film.

Mortal Engines

Rated: PG-13
Runtime: 2 hours, 8 minutes
Release Date: December 14, 2018
Director: Christian Rivers
Starring: Hera Hilmar, Robert Sheehan, Hugo Weaving

In This Peter Jackson Produced, book-to-film adaptation of the same name by Phillip Reeve, A mysterious young woman named Hester Shaw (Hilmar) stops a man who leads a predatory city on wheels, from carrying out his latest evil plan. Meanwhile, she teams up with Tom Natsworthy (Sheehan), and outcast from london, and Anna Fang, an outlaw, and they help her stop the man. It's not a bad movie, as in matter of fact, I liked it.

Don't always rely on the reviews, everyone has their own opinions on things such as movies, for example. I've look at a lot of reviews for this film on Youtube, and not all of them were good. In fact, most of the reviewers were just trashing the movie! Parents, this might be a little violent for your little ones, and your teens, if they really like the book this movie is based on, they might like it. I know I sure did! In fact, I think I'm gonna buy the book!

Runtime: 2 hours 14 minutes
Director: David Yates
Starring: Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Johnny Depp, Jude Law

Set six months after the events of the previous Fantastic Beasts movie, (Which you can find my review here https://theporeproductionsathome.blogspot.com/2018/11/fantastic-beasts-and-where-to-find-them.html) the character of Credence Barbone has survived his attack from the first movie, and goes missing. So, magizoologist Newt Scamander, and his friends, now has to find him. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Magic searches for him also. This sequel, introduces a few new characters, including, a rather familiar wise character from the actual Harry Potter series. It's a fine movie, and...(sigh)...it's another one that's being hated by Youtube critics. Parents, I don't know if your little ones are gonna like but, your older ones might.

Bohemian Rhapsody

 Rated: PG-13
Release Date: November 2, 2018
Runtime: 2 hours 14 minutes
Director: Bryan Singer
Starring: Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton

This movie, is a great movie. It is without a doubt, the best movie of the year in my opinion. It chronicles the life of the late singer Freddie Mercury leading up to Queen's legendary appearance at the 1985 Live Aid concert. This is how, a biography should be told on the big screen properly. You gotta have passion, you gotta have knowledge of the story of the person your making your movie about. Now, I get that you can't include EVERY single thing that the person did, just include the basics.

Raimi Malek stars as the late singer, and I think he does a fantastic job! I think he should (or will) win an oscar for his performance! Also, the best part, is the ending. It made so emotional, I started to tear up a little bit. Parents, I don't think your little ones will be interested but, your older ones, maybe. But if they are, I think they're gonna love it! I know I did

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms

Rated: PG
Release Date: November 2 , 2018
Runtime: 1 hour 39 minutes
Directors: Lasse Hallstrom, Joe Johnston
Starring: Mackenzie Foy, Keira Knightley, Morgan Freeman

(sigh)...Another fantastic movie that's being trashed by critics on Youtube. I don't get why they all hate this movie that's based on The Nutcracker ballet that's about a young girl named Clara, who discovers a magical land of gingerbread soldiers and an army of mice. Also, she discovers that her late mother was once the queen of the land. Now, she must protect it from danger, and retrieve a key she received from her godfather that disappeared into that world. Again, I don't understand why Youtube critics hate it. The Visuals are stunning, I  think there's a Chronicles of Narnia feel to it (specifically The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe), and Parents, I think your kids are gonna love it! and on top of that, I think It's family fun for everyone! Again I don't understand why! I bet it's because they have no soft-spots for family-friendly movies! and it definitely deserves a better critics rating than that 34% on Rotten Tomatoes.

First Man

Rated: PG-13
 Release Date: October 12, 2018
Runtime: 2 hours 21 minutes
Director: Damien Chazelle
Starring: Ryan Gosling, Claire Foy

This movie, is a great movie. It's about the life of Neil Armstrong, and the famous space mission leading him to becoming the first man on the moon. My dad was around when the events of this film happened, and it sure did bring back a lot of memories for him. I believe he was in south africa, when the actual Apollo 11 mission happened. Both of us loved the movie, and I think it's one of the years best films. Parents, I have to admit, I don't know what to say about whether or not I should recommend you taking your little ones to this film, but I think your older kids might enjoy it.
