Venom

Rated: PG-13
Release Date: October 5, 2018
Director: Reuben Fleischer
Starring: Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed

I think I just saw a movie that's hated by critics, but loved by audiences. You just simply can't always rely on the professionals, to give you an accurate review on a particular movie. This film is about a reporter named Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), who encounters A symbiote named Venom. Now Venom, is the villain/anti-hero in the Spider-Man franchise. The film is a little violent and parents, because of this, please do whatever you can, make your little ones avoid this picture, at all costs!  The studio was originally shooting for an R rating, but had edit the film down to a PG-13. Overall, it's not a bad movie

Goodbye Poreproductions! Hello Missouri Movie Lover!

Hello Everyone, and welcome to my blog! As you can see, I decided to make a big change to my blog. It is no longer called The Pore Productions, it is now called Missouri Movie Lover. The reason why I decided to change it is because a title like "The Pore Productions" doesn't fit the blog, and my personality. However, a title like "Missouri Movie Lover", does. Also, the blog also has a new web address. The web address is: www.reviews.missourimovielover.com. hope you like this new name, and can't wait to review movies with it! (First two will be: Venom, and First Man. (Already bought tickets).)

The House With A Clock In It's Walls

Rated: PG
Release Date: September 21, 2018
Runtime: 1 hour 44 mintues
Director: Eli Roth
Starring: Jack Black, Cate Blanchett

This Family-Friendly halloween-themed movie is about a young orphan named Louis, who helps his uncle (Black), and his neighbor (Blanchett), locate a clock that's hiding inside his home. And, stop a man from using it to carry out his evil plan. It's a good movie, there were some parts that made some of the other people in the theater laugh, and I suggest that you go check it out! However, in one of the Youtube reviews that I saw for this movie, the people reviewing it pointing out that it can introduce children, to the horror genre. Not to mention the fact that, it was directed by a filmmaker, that's done a lot of R-rated horror. Although, this movie is rated PG, but there are some scenes that do fall into that category.

Slender Man

Rated: PG-13
Release Date: August 10, 2018
Runtime: 1 hour 33 minutes
Director: Sylvain White
Starring: Joey King, Julia Goldani Teiles, Jaz Sinclair

I don't understand why most people hate this PG-13 horror flick that about four girls who summon the fictional character, The Slender Man. And then, one of them mysteriously vanishes. Again, I don't understand why! It's very intense, especially towards the ending. Parents, if you have children under the age of 13, DO NOT take them to this movie! It might be too scary for them! If you have teenagers, they might be bored by it. Again, I don't understand why most people are absolutely trashing this suspenseful flick!

The Meg

Rated: PG-13
Runtime: 1 hour 53 minutes
Release Date: August 10, 2018
Director: Jon Turteltaub
Starring: Jason Statham, Rainn Wilson, Bingbing Li

In this Jaws remake wannabe, Jonas Taylor (Statham) confronts his fear of sharks to save people that were trapped in a sunken submarine. Besides that, there are actually multiple plots in this film, none which I'll spoil, but if you want to know them, then you might wanna sacrifice the time and money this weekend, and go see it. I thought it was ok, the effects were kind of cheap and cheesy. Like I said, if you wanna sacrifice the time and money to see this movie this weekend, go ahead. WARNING: it may be too intense for younger children.

In this latest installment, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team, must race against time with some familiar allies, and find and stop a man from carrying out a plan, after a mission gone wrong.
